Manuja Waldia

Manuja Waldia is an illustrator and graphic designer living in Indianapolis, Indiana. She draws upon themes of friendship, sisterhood, celebration, and cake. Illustrating decorative festive scenes scattered with mellow women and cool cats (literally).

Born and raised in India, Waldia transferred from the fashion communication program at National Institute of Fashion Technology, in New Delhi, to the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in Wisconsin. In 2014, she graduated with a BFA in Communication Design.

Waldia’s portfolio party pieces are accompanied by very clean vector artwork, graphic design, and hand-painted ceramics. Her vector illustrations are made up of simple shapes and repeating lines. Turning nature, figures and buildings into hypnotic patterns. Recently her vector prowess was used to illuminate a series of books for Penguin Random House’s new Shakespeare series.

You can find more of Manuja Waldia’s work on her website, Tumblr, Instagram and follow her on Twitter.
