Four Star Studios: Purveyors of Fine Illustrated Stories

Four Star Studios was founded in 2010 by Chicago comic book creators Sean Dove aka And Thank You For Flying, Mike Norton of Battlepug fame, Tim Seeley creator of Hack/Slash and Jim Terry aka wounded but dangerous.

In 2013, Four Star Studios along with Chris Burnham, Jenny Frison and Josh Emmons started a weekly podcast to discuss the craft of creating comic books. The episodes were just 15 minutes long; succinct and informative. Unfortunately, the podcast only lasted five episodes and consequently leaves you wanting more.

Most recently the collective launched a YouTube channel and a series called The Warm Up. Here, they chat and draw characters from comics and pop culture. From sketch to final illustration, you can pick up tips while watching their drawings come to life.
