Jackie Ferrentino is a freelance illustrator and designer based in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) last year, 2015. And can already boast about working with Bloomingdale’s Dubai, Frederator Studios, BOOM! Studios, and Cartoon Network.
When looking through her portfolio, from her student work until now, you can see that Ferrentino has experimented with various mediums and styles. Some more realistic, some more abstract. Even though her work is predominantly influenced by a mix of classic cartoons and textural paintings, in an interview Ferrentino mentions that she doesn’t concern herself with “style,” but rather focuses on what the work needs, and what she enjoys.
A large part of Ferrentino’s current portfolio is made up of work for the science magazine Nautilus. Where she tackles some unique subject matter, including can cats have an existential experience? and why revolutionaries love spicy food.
You can find more of Jackie Ferrentino’s work on her website, Tumblr, Instagram, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter.
