London Art Week

London Art Week is the world’s most important gallery-based celebration of pre-contemporary art. The event celebrates the exceptional riches and unparalleled expertise available within the galleries of Mayfair and St. James’s – a unique neighbourhood which represents the international and historic centre of the traditional art trade. Henry Moore Studios & Gardens

The Henry Moore Studios & Gardens are now reopen for the summer. You can explore over 60 acres of grounds, showing the artist’s iconic work against the landscape he created. You can also take a tour of the Moore family’s home and the beautiful gardens created by Irina Moore. The studios give you the chance to see behind the scenes and appreciate how Moore’s sculptures – large and small – were created. Alongside the inspiring studios and sculpture gardens, they have a new visitor centre for summer 2016.

George Butler and London Art Week

As part of London Art Week Illustration Cupboard Gallery will be showing a selection of new artwork, watercolours and drawings by the superb young talented reportage artist George Butler – Winner of the V&A Illustration Award, 2012. George Butler will be giving an evening lecture and slide talk at 6pm on Wednesday 6 JULY. This is a ticketed event and places are limited to 20, each ticket is £20. Find out more here.

Commissioned by 14-18 NOW, Dave McKean has created a major new work inspired by Nash and the artist’s nightmarish depictions of war and its psychological effects. Join legendary illustrator, filmmaker and musician Dave McKean as he talks to the Observer’s Rachel Cooke and Imperial War Museum curator Richard Slocombe about his astonishing new graphic novel and performance, Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash.
