Illustrator’s Diary: ArtBreakers Illustration Market

Illustrator’s Diary: ArtBreakers Illustration Market

The ArtBreakers Illustration Society will be hosting its first event, the ArtBreakers Illustration Market, this October. ArtBreakers is a non-profit group founded by four artist friends: Laura Bifano, Graeme McCormack, Tim Mack, and Tessa Riecken.

Vancouver is full of professional artists who take part in maker markets and art shows, but there are still many artists who fall between the cracks of the galleries, comic cons, and craft fairs. The ArtBreakers Illustration Market, in an effort to fill this gap, is an event tailored specifically for the illustration and design crowd.

The new market will showcase some of the best image-makers in Vancouver and invites the public to meet some of city’s top industry pros. Many of the attending artists will be debuting and selling original prints, zines, custom enamel pins, and more. In addition to artist tables, the market will feature live painting and offer portfolio reviews for those interested in learning more about Vancouver’s gaming, animation, design, and illustration industry.

Admission is free! Check it out at the Creekside Community Center, 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver on October 14th and 15th. Doors are open from 10:00am – 6:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am – 5:00pm on Sunday.
