We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new Edition print by Swedish illustrator Jan Bielecki. ‘Bear’ is a serene depiction of a bear and its cub watching a fiery red sunset over a vibrant woodland landscape.

Bielecki told the Lounge that he arrived at the image “unexpectedly” while working as a book cover designer at Penguin Random House. He explained: “Like most decent ideas it came when my mind was preoccupied with something else. My mind will come up with a pretty picture in an attempt to distract me from a tricky task.”

“It’s like an image pops into my peripheral vision. [This was] a composition that I jotted down and laid on my desk for months until I could work it up. I’ve always had a hard time with deeper meanings and I can find that they hamper you, so lately, I focus more on beauty for its own sake, in its own right. And that’s where this image came from,” he added.

Produced in London, this run is limited to 50. ‘Bear’ will be available to buy from March 1 from our shop.
