Taylor Krahenbuhl

Taylor Krahenbuhl is an American illustrator and concept artist. He is currently a Character Designer at Disney Television Animation. Where he is working on the animated series of Tangled.

Born in Salt Lake City, Krahenbuhl studied at Brigham Young University, where he received a BFA in animation. He started working professionally one year into his course. Predominantly storyboarding and designing characters for smaller companies. He got his first taste of a large production, working with his mentor and college professor Ryan Woodward, doing value studies for the feature film Where the Wild Things Are (2009).

After graduating in 2009, Krahenbuhl was picked up by Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank for a talent development program. Following his interning at Disney, he became a freelance artist, mostly doing character designs and story sketches.

Krahenbuhl has worked on some very interesting projects including feature films for Blue Sky Studios and Paramount Pictures, video games for ArenaNet and PopCap Games, and the short films The Loch (2007), The Turtle and the Shark (2008), The Legend of Santa Claus (2008), and The Acidification of the Ocean (2010).
