Artist and illustrator, Yoshitaka Amano, has amalgamated an anomalous body of work across all fields of art. Starting his career in the late 1960s working on, and developing characters for, aniemes including Speed Racer, Gatchaman, Tekkaman: The Space Knight, and Casshan. He has illustrated for novels including Vampire Hunter D, The Guin Saga, Elektra and Wolverine: The Redeemer and The Sandman: The Dream Hunters. Although, Amano is possibly best know for being the character and logo designer on the very popular RPG franchise Final Fantasy.
Yoshitaka Amano style can often be very varied, as his artist influences stretch from both tradition Japanese wood block printing to contemporary western comics, Art Nouveau to Pop Art.
