Manga Mondays ~ Akira Yasuda aka Akiman

In 1985 Akira Yasuda opted to drop out collage and get a job at Capcom, more than 20 years on and Yasuda has solidified his name in videogame history. Under the pen name Akiman he worked as a character designer and illustrator. An integral part of the Street fighter series, Yasuda created some of the best loved characters, including Chun Li, Blanka and Dhalsim. Since then Yasuda has worked on a host of videogames and even some anime notably Gundam, Overman King Gainer. Nowadays Yasuda works as a freelancer, focusing on mangas and anime, but still illustrating for videogames.
