French illustrator, Ingrid Liman purposely chose not to look at contemporary illustrators when developing her style, instead looked to fine artist as her source of inspiration instead. She has noted Alphonse Mucha, Egon Schiele, and Gustav Klimt as her personal favourites. Those names seem to be a reoccurring theme amongst many illustrators, Mucha is my personal favourite.
Liman has published her first comic, Hollywood Boulevard (French only), in collaboration with writer Jerome Felix and is currently working on a second volume. Keep up-to-date and see more of her superb work on her website.
