1. Frank Frazetta (1928-2010)

Hugo Award, Chesley Award, member of the Will Eisner Comic Book, and Jack Kirby Hall of Fame, with artwork selling for $1 million—Frank Frazetta’s work is not short of acknowledgement, but nor should it be. Frazetta had the ability to master whatever he turned his hand to, be it sci-fiction, horror or comedy, his work has helped define genres. Everyone really should have a Frank Frazetta art book in their collection, one of my favourites is Icon: A Retrospective by the Grand Master of Fantastic Art.
