Jeff Victor is an illustrator and character designer based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his comical pop-culture character evolutions and his “adorkable” re-imaginings. His work has been displayed in galleries all over the world.
Victor studied art and design at the University of Kansas. He has worked with many notable companies including Cartoon Network, Nick Jr. Animation, Warner Bros Animation, HBO, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Playstation 2, and MTV. While working with Warner Bros. Animation he created development artwork for TV shows including Loonatics: Unleashed, Thundercats, and Scooby Doo.
Up until 2014, Victor worked for seven years at Nickelodeon Games. Whilst there, some of his duties included character and prop design for browser and mobile games, illustrations used in advertising, video game development, and additional website content. Now he is currently working as a freelance illustrator.
Victor is an excellent caricaturist. Without worrying too much about resemblance, he always captures a character’s essentials. Obviously favouring the ridiculously cute, he does occasionally delve into gruesome territory. When he does, his work retains its humour, reminding me of Garbage Pail Kids trading cards or the Ren & Stimpy stills.
You can find more of Jeff Victor’s work on his website, Blog, DeviantArt, Instagram, and follow him on Facebook and Twitter. You can also buy some of his prints and books on his shop.
