  1. Box Brown

    Box Brown is a comic book writer, illustrator and publisher from Philadelphia. His breakthrough graphic novel, Andre the Giant: Life and Legend, spent three weeks on the New York Times Graphic Novel Best Sellers List. Brown’s small press achievements were recognised by Ignatz Award, winning an Outstanding Series Award for his self-published book Everything Dies. Brown launched the comics publishing house Retrofit Comics, completely funded by Kickstarter donations.

    Born in Pisa, Italy, Gianni Alfonso Pacinotti (Gipi) is a cartoonist, filmmaker, and author. He started his journey into illustration through publishing and advertising. He was almost 30 when he decided to start creating comics. His work appeared in magazines such as Cuore, Il Clandestino, Il Manifesto, Lo Straniero, and La Straniero.

  3. Vera Brosgol

    Storyboard and comic artist Vera Brosgol was born in Moscow, but has lived in the United States since the age of five. She contributed to 3 volumes the Flight anthologies and gained broad recognition with her first graphic novel, Anya’s Ghost. Published in 2011 by First Second Books, it won Brosgol an Will Eisner award in Best Publication for Teens.
