1. Fathoms Deep: Call for Entries!

Fathoms Deep is a new exhibition curated by Zombie Collective. The show will open in May, in London, and they are currently looking for submissions. The theme is nautical, and they are interested in print, digital work, painting and 3D. Their aim is to promote and support new and emerging illustrators, so all entrants must be recent graduates, from 2009 onwards.

  2. Sink or Swim ~ San Francisco

If you’re in San Francisco Sept. 23-25, be sure to check out the ‘Sink or Swim’ exhibition at Spoke Art Gallery. Featuring original works from 30 internationally renowned artists such as Dave Kinsey, Josh Keyes, Dan May, Jim Phillips, Jeff Soto and many more. This gathering of widely acclaimed artists from around the globe will address one the biggest threats facing the health of world’s oceans today – the rapid and mass depletion of sharks.

  3. The Worlds of Mervyn Peake at the British Library

Accomplished playwright, painter, poet and illustrator Mervyn Peake (1911-68) has an exhibition on now at the British Library. It started on the 5th of July, but there’s plenty of time to catch it as it ends on the 18th of September. The British Library recently acquired an archive of Peake’s work, and it’s on show. A big plus for Alice fans; his original drawings for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass can also be seen at the exhibition.
