“art director”

  1. André Smatik Ljosai

Today on The Lounge we have super talent André Smatik Ljosai aka Smatik. Art direction, illustration, motion graphics and graphic design are amongst his skill set, with many of the world’s biggest brands flocking to his creativity. He is also a trained lithographer and scallywag graffiti artist. He lives and works in Denmark, with clients including Aljazeera, Audi, Coca-Cola, Gilette, Haribo and Virgin Airlines.

  2. Manga Mondays ~ Keunju Kim

Keunju Kim aka Rabbiteyes is based in Seoul, South Korea working as a Concept Artist and Art Director. Having previously worked for games company gumi Inc., as of May, Mr. Kim became freelance. He definitely one of those illustrators whose ability appears limitless. His backgrounds are just as strong as his character design, his pencils are just as sumptuous as his painting. No matter how fantastical his character are, they always seem to have a realism. I haven’t quite put my finger on why that is, but one reason has to do with his emphasis on the eyes. To find out more about Keunju Kim check out his website and deviantArt page.

  3. Bob Case

Bob Case is an illustrator, designer, art director and animator currently working at The Lavidge Company. He often works in black and white, using his trademark perfect black lines to shade his work. There is something beautifully nostalgic about his illustrations, yet at the same time they appear so modern and punchy. View more on his website.

  4. Noah Klocek

Noah is an Art Director at Pixar Animation Studios. I love his wonderful sense of lighting. Looking at his work, I thought the affable style would help bring a bit of festive feeling to the Lounge, seeing as we are so close to Christmas!
