Born and raised in México, Garcia studied Graphic and Industrial Design at ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara. In 2000, he moved to American to study Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

After graduating in 2005, Garcia joined a San Francisco graphic design company, cutting his teeth in print and interactive design. In 2012 he joined Hatch, where he continues to craft colourful, honest and smart design. You can read about Garcia’s process in an interview he did a couple of years ago with Grain Edit.

In 2008 Garcia started the blog, No Barcode, about vintage modern design and illustration. You can see a lot of the blog’s content on Garcia’s Flickr. A practitioner of the vintage modern style himself, when you look through the photo stream, you will notice his work blends right in.
