I am by no means the first to write about this incredible book, but I recently ordered a couple for my son and niece, so I thought I’d now spread the word seeing as I now have them in my hands.

The deal is this: for £18.99 (including free worldwide shipping might I add), you get a perfect bound, personalised children’s book with a story centred around your child’s name. Simply visit LostMy.Name and type in your child’s name and then select ‘boy’ or ‘girl’. You can preview the whole book online, which is great. The entire website experience is great.

These guys seem to have gotten everything right, from the story by David Cadji-Newby to the truly beautiful and stylish illustrations by Pedro Serapicos. The books are perfect bound on some nice matt stock, too. I’ll also add that the customer service was really helpful (I shamefully mis-spelled my niece’s name, but they were very friendly put it right for me).

I cannot recommend this enough; it’ll make the perfect gift and for a price that doesn’t break the bank.

Christopher Lee is a designer and illustrator from Sacramento. After graduating in 2006, he moved to California where he worked as an Art Director for Vapors Magazine, then moving on to motion graphics studio ‘Buck’, spending three years plying his trade there. In October of 2009 he braved the dangerous and exciting world of freelance illustration, and has never looked back. Christopher has also designed some vinyl toys, as well as setting up greetings card and paper goods company ‘The Birds and the Beasts’ with his girlfriend. Clients include Absolut, Adobe, Disney, Hasbro and Nickelodeon.

The bright colours and perfect forms found in Argentinean Juan Casini’s work are to die for. On his website you’ll find some fantastic sketch books with lots of experimental collage and type cuttings, some great personal projects including ‘Animal Gods’, as well as client work for web, games, character design and more. Jolly good fun; mosey on over.

Christopher Cunetto is currently living and working from Washington DC. In his own words:

“My style is saturated, narrative, and figurative – imagery that plays with conventions of seriousness, melodrama, and camp.”

His techniques range from quick-mark, bold colour fashion illustration to fully rendered work created using coloured pencils. His clients include Washington Post Express, Metro Weekly, Fashion Fights Poverty and Columbia Books.

Christopher also co-founded the art collective ‘Boys Be Good’, and after checking out their online zines, I thought they had some great content that I’d never come across before.
