    Box Brown is a comic book writer, illustrator and publisher from Philadelphia. His breakthrough graphic novel, Andre the Giant: Life and Legend, spent three weeks on the New York Times Graphic Novel Best Sellers List. Brown’s small press achievements were recognised by Ignatz Award, winning an Outstanding Series Award for his self-published book Everything Dies. Brown launched the comics publishing house Retrofit Comics, completely funded by Kickstarter donations.

    We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new Edition print by Swedish illustrator Jan Bielecki. ‘Bear’ is a serene depiction of a bear and its cub watching a fiery red sunset over a vibrant woodland landscape.

  6. Alike

    Inspired by the filmmakers’ own experiences as fathers, ‘Alike’ is heart-warming, animated short film directed by Daniel Martínez Lara and Rafa Cano Méndez. It depicts the relationship between a father (Copi) and son (Paste) in a colourless world of everyday drudgery. Each day as the pair head to school and work the vibrant whimsy of life recedes into insipid uniformity. But in this touching, 3D computer-animated tale, we see how they overcome the mundane to bring colour and creativity back into their lives.

    Jan Van Der Veken is a Belgian illustrator, who just a few years ago was described as “The Best Illustrator You’ve Never Heard Of”. Now, his retro style, inspired by European comic strips of the 1950s, has made him one of the most sought after Belgian illustrators of today.
